Music Monday: Smile by Lily Allen*

Last week I skipped Music Monday here because Shemah beat me to a song and I had no song lined up so I just skipped it. Anyway, if you have already been to Life According to Me, my other blog, then you are aware that I have picked a song with the word "Smile" in it, so in an attempt to have some kind of a theme going on, I chose Smile by Lily Allen as my Music Monday for this week. Although the meaning of this song isn't the same as the one over at Life According to Me, it uplifts your spirits in a different kind of way but that is exactly what makes me love this song. I mean come on, haven't you ever felt happy about somebody else's misfortune? Especially if that somebody was mean or did something really wrong to you? Well, I have and it does make me smile, whenever one of my frenemies stumble and fall, especially when I know they so deserved it, but mind you, I don't wish them to have misfortune, because I don't want it to come back and bite me in the ass. I just leave everything to God, because I know that we get what we deserve, whether bad or good.

Do you do sports?*

Sports and I are like oil and water. We can never be mixed together. I am not the sporty type. When I was in high school, my teacher said I had a potential to be a runner, because I have long legs and all that, so she tried to train me, and at first running in an oval amused me for sometime, and then it became a chore and I disliked it, so I quit. I never ran in an oval again. I don't like sports that involve big bouncy balls. Once in high school, we were required to take volleyball as a sport in P.E. (Physical Education) and the ball hit my face really hard, my nose bled. Sports and I just don't mix. Don't even get me started on basketball. Ugh! I can never understand what the big deal is, it's just a bunch of people running around with a bouncing ball. I don't see the point. For fun? Sure, being sweaty and panting like a dog sounds fun indeed. The only sport I like is the kind that doesn't require big bouncy balls and sweat. Golf, now that's a sport I can see myself excelling at. Hmm.

Memorial Day*

It's Memorial Day in the US, are you even aware? Well, for those of you who don't know, Memorial Day is when the US government recognizes and celebrates those that died while in the military service.
