Lucas Exclusive

Lucas keeps me entertained all the time. Watching him is so fascinating. He is one hyper kid who does a lot of things and I just happen to catch it on video sometimes. However, I do my hardest not to let him notice because if he notices that I am taking a video of him, he would stop and would want to watch it right away. He's like that when someone takes his picture as well, he wants to see it right after he hears the "click" sound or right after the camera flashes.

So anyway, one afternoon, he started jamming with his make believe drum set and guitar. Check out my little boy's one-boy-band.Free Avatars LOL.Happy Emoticons

Yes, it is almost a 5 minute act, and that is only part 1. LOL.Happy Emoticons

He is supposed to turn 3 after February 28, but he has to wait until next year to actually celebrate his first official birthday. He was born February 29, 2008.
Lucas actually does this a lot.Free Icons He'll break out in a songFree Smileys or start to pretend he's playing the guitarMusic Emoticons or the drums.Free Icons My grandma actually wants to get him a real guitar, and I had to look for a store in our city that make custom built guitars because I want one made especially for his size because a normal sized guitar will be too heavy and too big for him. Who knows, maybe someday he'll be like Justin Bieber.Free Icons Speaking of Justin Bieber, Lucas is totally a fan and if you ask him who he is, he'll say, "Bieber".Free Icons LOL.Happy Emoticons I hope he becomes cooler than Bieber though.Free Avatars But first I have to get him a real drum set and a real guitar.

I hope you enjoyed Part 1 of Lucas' blogger debut performance.Free Userbars

I Was a Skater Girl

I was a skater girl, hard to believe, but yes I was. I conquered the hills and the sloped roads where I grew up. I remember I was 9 when my grandma and uncle decided to take us to Duty Free in Subic because my uncle had left over dollars from his trip to the US. Back then inline speed skates were the in thing and of course, my sister and I wanted to have a pair each, so that's what we bought instead of the usual chocolates and imported goods.

I remember mine was black with pink buckles and pink wheels, although the extra inline skate wheels were black. I never got to use the extra wheels because I completely trashed my inline skates just after a few months. We live on a mountain, so the roads go up and down and there were parts with pot holes and what not, so they were pretty battered. I don't know how I managed not to fall down, I guess the ballet lessons helped me keep my balance. I could have been an awesome figure skater, what with my awesome skating skills and ballet training. LOL. Just kidding, I never aspired to be a figure skater.

However, manual speed was one of the things I never really got to experience since most of the time we were skating on a slope, we didn't need to exert much effort. I wouldn't know the first thing about how to skate faster because of that. Skating was the in thing then and our city built 2 skating rinks, both of which closed after just a year of operation. Skating in the mountain got old and it got old fast.

I wonder if it's ever going to make a come back. What do you think?

Vacation Plans

My sister in law and her family migrated to the state of Arizona in the United States about 5 years ago. We are a really close knit family, so we really miss them a lot and they left before they even met Lucas and Erin. B and I have been talking about the future and the possibility of going to the United States and visiting my sisters in law. My other sister in law lives in Florida, and I definitely want to go and visit her as well. I have never met my sister in law from Florida in person yet, because she has been in the states for more than 10 years and she left while I was literally still in diapers. She went to school with my mom.Tongue Emoticons It's not a shock, you all know B is 11 years older than I am.Free Blinkies

However, thanks to Facebook, I get to interact with my sister in law from Florida, she is definitely one of the nicest people I have ever met. I get along great with my sister in law from Arizona as well. I swear, people in B's family are really nice, so I really stick out like a sore thumb because I am a meanie. LOL.Smiley

Anyway, B and I will definitely visit the Harry Potter Museum in Florida, and of course Universal Studios and Disney World. Plus Florida has a lot of gorgeous beaches and I love the beach!Free Icons I will definitely love it there!Smiley

There are also quite a few Arizona vacation spots that I want to see, like the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. I would also love to see the Monument Valley Park, where Wile E. Coyote and The Roadrunner hang out.Free Avatars I also definitely want to check out Sedona, since they say Sharon Stone, Al Pacino and John Travolta have houses there, how awesome is that?

But first, I will pay my dear friend, Bill a.k.a. Wildtazz47 a visit, as he owes me and B a hearty steak dinner. He's from Arizona too. How about it Bill?Free Blinkies See you soon?Free Smileys LOL!Smiley I wish!Tongue Emoticons

B and I have so many plans, and I hope that they become a reality soon, wouldn't that just be awesome?Free Emoticons

Bieber Fever on the 53rd Grammy Awards Show

What is it with Justin Bieber that makes little girls go, "woooHoo!"? I have a tween girl so I have witnessed first hand that he does make little girls go, "wooHoo!"

What is a tween, you ask? Well, it's a new word that describes children who are between being kids and becoming a teenager. I know, the world has gotten crazy, everything gets labeled with words, and nothing is just "in between" nowadays. It's crazy. Have you seen the tween merchandise? There are accessories and clothes for tween girls and boys and other crazy stuff. Anyway, back to Justin Bieber. Is it his hair? Chakai says he sings good, but his voice annoys me, probably because his songs are over-played, and I have his album on my iTunes, I got it for Chakai and it somehow made it to my iPhone. LOL. Don't judge me. Lucas isn't even a tween yet and he wants to be like Justin Bieber. I guess in a way, it's good that he has a positive influence on kids today. Kids today totally need more positive role models who don't rebel as soon as they hit puberty. My kids have been infected by the Bieber Fever, I hope I don't get it or I will shoot myself! LOL.

Anyhoo, I watched the 53rd Grammy Awards Show this morning, and I must admit, Justin Bieber, Usher and Jaden Smith's performance blew me away and was simply awesome. You can hear 14,000 tweens on the background as soon as Justin Bieber opened his mouth to sing. If you missed it, here's a video from YouTube.

I think his movie will come out in theaters here soon, and guess what, we'll have to see it because Chakai and Lucas want to.

Do you have a tween with the Bieber fever?

I'm NOT Crafty!

When God showered the world with artistic capabilities, I must have been asleep inside a cave or something, because I have none. I can be creative when it comes to writing, but I can't do squat when it comes to crafting or painting or drawing. I suck at it so much, one time my drawing made my sister laugh so hard she peed in her pants.jelir Don't believe me?soal Check out my pee-inducing drawing.

I tried my hand at scrap booking, I bought all sorts of crafting supplies like a scrap book ready book, card stock, some bits and pieces of cute button stickers like flowers, leaves, hearts and the like, but I never got started. Frankly, I am afraid to screw it up. I want to make a scrap book that won't look like scrap, you know?soal Right now, I am practicing through Scrapbook Paige, it's a game that came pre-installed on my laptop, it's a find-it kind of game and at the end of each level you get to create a scrap book page. It's really awesome, I'm hoping to get a few ideas. So, wish me luck!sengihnampakgigi

Holy Porscha!

In high school, I was totally a geek for cars. People thought it was weird because I am such a girly girl and yet I loved cars and motorcycles. It started when I had a crush on this boy who was so totally into them, so I had to learn his language to be able to establish a connection, it worked; And it surprised me that over time, I found cars and motorcycles quite fascinating, and even though I lost interest for that boy my love for cars and motorcycles stayed with me. One of the cars I have drooled over was the Porsche 911 (nine eleven) Series.

Do you know Sally Carrera from the animated film Cars? She's the town's (Radiator Springs) lawyer, voiced by Bonnie Hunt. She's a 2002 911 Porsche Carrera. She made race car superstar, Lightning McQueen go, "Holy Porscha..." and she has been named as one of the sexiest cars in the world by Top Gear, a UK automobile magazine, the number 1 automobile magazine in the world.

Back then I loved the 1976 Porsche 911 2.7 Series, kinda like Sally, but older. I absolutely loved the sleek design and I can only imagine how awesome it is to drive, what with its top speed at 220 km/h. I always wanted to feel the wind in my hair as I speed down a highway on a Porsche. I would so totally look awesome! I totally love it's vintage look as well, I still love it.

However, now I am drooling for the Porsche 911 GT3. I don't want to get all nerdy and give you detailed specifications of the car, that's what Google is for. jelirHowever, here is a photo I found through Google and I just had to share it.jelir

If this doesn't make you drool, then I guess you like Jaguar better.

One day I will totally own my own Porsche, and you'll see me on the internet shopping for hard to find Porsche 911 parts and accessories. LOL.ihikhik There is nothing wrong with dreaming.sengihnampakgigi I am a firm believer of the "wish fulfillment" theory, if wish for it hard enough then I know it will come true. Someday.rindu

B prefers the Jaguar. I admit, it is pretty awesome, but I don't think I would look good driving a Jaguar. I still prefer the Porsche among any other car, even though it has never been named Car of the Year or Super Car of the Year by Top Gear. Jaguar XH was Car of the Year in 2006.

If we had the money to spend as we pleased, we both agreed that he'd get a Jaguar, I'd get a Porsche. I highly doubt he's going to get me one from the 911 Series, he's more likely to buy me a Porsche Cayenne. Just like the one Manny Pacquiao got for his wife, I think he doesn't trust me when it comes to driving, I don't know why. Do you think it has something to do with the fact that I have a tendency to be kind of reckless, and the yellow light to me means "speed up" and not slow down. LOL.ihikhik I am just kidding! I'm so totally a safe driver, I love the speed, but I would never endanger anyone else.
