Bieber Fever on the 53rd Grammy Awards Show

What is it with Justin Bieber that makes little girls go, "woooHoo!"? I have a tween girl so I have witnessed first hand that he does make little girls go, "wooHoo!"

What is a tween, you ask? Well, it's a new word that describes children who are between being kids and becoming a teenager. I know, the world has gotten crazy, everything gets labeled with words, and nothing is just "in between" nowadays. It's crazy. Have you seen the tween merchandise? There are accessories and clothes for tween girls and boys and other crazy stuff. Anyway, back to Justin Bieber. Is it his hair? Chakai says he sings good, but his voice annoys me, probably because his songs are over-played, and I have his album on my iTunes, I got it for Chakai and it somehow made it to my iPhone. LOL. Don't judge me. Lucas isn't even a tween yet and he wants to be like Justin Bieber. I guess in a way, it's good that he has a positive influence on kids today. Kids today totally need more positive role models who don't rebel as soon as they hit puberty. My kids have been infected by the Bieber Fever, I hope I don't get it or I will shoot myself! LOL.

Anyhoo, I watched the 53rd Grammy Awards Show this morning, and I must admit, Justin Bieber, Usher and Jaden Smith's performance blew me away and was simply awesome. You can hear 14,000 tweens on the background as soon as Justin Bieber opened his mouth to sing. If you missed it, here's a video from YouTube.

I think his movie will come out in theaters here soon, and guess what, we'll have to see it because Chakai and Lucas want to.

Do you have a tween with the Bieber fever?

You guys know how much I love Britney Spears right?soal I do, and I am not ashamed to admit it. Why should I be ashamed?soal Britney Spears thinks I'm cool enough to be followed on twitter.encem

Well, I am happy that she has come out with a new single, her song, Stronger, has been playing on the background for me to help me get up from yet another fall. I now realize that it is just a minor set back and I know I am stronger and wiser after that experience.

Anyway, here's her new single, the official music video for her song is still unavailable for my country, so this will have to do.

Enough With the Tiger Drama*

Okay, I know it's supposed to be the year of the "Tiger", but don't you think we have had enough of all this Tiger Woods drama? I mean come on, really. Aren't there anything else worth talking about? So he cheated, so what? Like 60% of average Joe's cheat on their wives or girlfriends ALL. THE. TIME. What's the big deal? Just because he's Tiger Woods everybody is making such a big fuss about it. I mean even if he is famous, he's still just a human being, a man, capable of committing a mistake, and instead of talking about it, every single chance we get to, why don't we just leave the guy and his family alone so he can make amends and save his marriage. If we're really concerned about his well-being and not just because we love drama, we should bury this issue and look for other more important issues to exploit. don't you think it's about time we talk about something else? Personally, I am sick of hearing people trash him, I mean who are they to pass judgment on him? It's not like he's the FIRST person to ever cheat on his wife with multiple women. Come on. I remember David Duchovny from X-Files said he was a sex addict but then he didn't get the same publicity as Tiger Woods is getting right now. What's up with that? If Fame is the basis, David Duchovny has made his mark on the industry, so I don't see why he didn't get as much attention.

Anyway, I'm done analyzing this, I just want this issue to over because I am really so sick of looking at Tiger Woods and his poor wife Elin. Talking about Tiger's infidelity is definitely hard for her, imagine having to relive your husband's infidelity every. freakin'. day. No wonder it's taking her so long to get over his infidelity and try and fix their marriage. I believe that Tiger is not the only one to blame, one way or another, she has pushed him to do what he did, it's still not justifiable, but think about it, in any marriage, it takes 2 to tango. A marriage is a partnership, if one turns their back on that partnership, then chaos is sure to ensue.

during happier days...

Let's give them some space ya'll.

ANEticing Celebrity: Brendan Fraser*

I just love Brendan Fraser!love He's not particularly good looking off the bat, but he does have this face that grows on you, you know?sengihnampakgigi I absolutely loved him in The Mummy Trilogy, I love his character and I don't think anybody else could have played that part.sengihnampakgigi

I first saw Brendan Fraser in the movie School Ties (1992), where he stars alongside Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Chris O'Donnell. The movie is set in the 50's where he plays a middle class Jew who gets a scholarship into an elite prep school because he's good at football, but then he's religious background hinders him from having any friends and gets him into a cheating scandal when a classmate of his accuses him of cheating, but at the end the truth comes out, his classmate gets expelled and he remains in school. My favorite tag line in the movie was, "Just Because You're Accepted Doesn't Mean You Belong.", it's the same story everywhere, in whatever time.

Then I saw him on Mrs. Winterbourne (1996) and I just absolutely adored him from then on. The movie was about a pregnant woman who meets a couple in a train when the train crashes, she is mistakenly identified as the woman whom she met on the train. The girl's husband's family takes her in where she meets the husband's twin brother, she falls in love with him. Everything is going well until the father of her child appears, but then everything works out in the end because Brendan Fraser's character is in love with the girl as well.

George of the Jungle(1997) was a Disney film, it had the whole Tarzan theme to it. This movie showed his funny and hunky side and everyone knows a funny, hunky guy equals a dreamy guy.

Then I saw him on Bedazzled(2000) where he stars opposite Elizabeth Hurley. He became one of my favorite actors because of that movie, and I can watch that movie over and over again without ever getting tired of it. Bedazzled is a movie about a guy, who is hopelessly in love with this girl but then he doesn't have the courage to tell her, to top it all off, everyone pushes him around because they let him. So one day, the devil, played by Elizabeth Hurley, comes to him and gives him 7 wishes in exchange for his soul, so he doesn't believe it and agrees right off the bat. Of course since he made the deal with the devil, you can expect that the devil would twist his wishes around and all his wishes come out wrong. Finally he can't take it, so he opts out but then the Devil says he can't, so he refuses to make his final wish, which angers the devil and reveals his ugly self, so he was forced to make a final wish, and he makes a selfless wish, which breaks the treaty he made with the devil, so he gets his soul back and he finally had the courage to ask the girl of his dreams out on a date and she said yes.

Then came The Mummy Trilogy, I watched all three because of him, and I enjoyed all 3 films!sengihnampakgigi

So anyway, Brendan James Fraser was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 3, 1968. He was raised in Holland, Switzerland, and Canada. He is both American and Canadian. He attended the Upper Canada College in Toronto, the Actors' Conservatory and the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. In 1998, he was hailed by People Magazine as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world. I couldn't agree more!sengihnampakgigi

his cameo on G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra as Sgt. Stone

There is absolutely no doubt that Brendan Fraser has made his mark on Hollywood. I can't wait to see more of him!sengihnampakgigi I can't wait to see him in his upcoming film called Extraordinary Measures set for release in 2010. Check out the trailer below.

ANEticing Celebrity: Miley Cyrus**

We all know her. How can we not?soal Our kids love her, how can they not?soal With a hit tv show gone to the big screen and music albums that are hits, you must be living under a rock if you haven't heard of her.jelir

It's true, Miley Cyrus is as famous as can be. How can she not be famous?soal Say what you want about her, but there is no doubt that she can act, she can dance and she can sing. She's pretty much good at everything she does. Chakai, my 7 year old daughter, just adores her and has her ipod filled with Miley's songs. I dedicate this post to my darling daughter.senyum

Born as Destiny Hope Cyrus (she had her name legally changed to Miley Ray Cyrus on May 1, 2008). She was born in Nashville, Tennessee on November 23, 1992. Her parents are Leticia Finley Cyrus and her father is Billy Ray Cyrus who is also a famous country singer (he is best known for his song, Achy Breaky Heart).

Miley Cyrus is the star of the famous Disney Channel tv series, Hannah Montana (which was also turned into a movie), where she plays the lead role, but did you know that there were 2 other people considered for the role before her? Yep indeed, American Juniors finalist Jordan McCoy and the singer Jojo were Disney's first choice for the role?soal Fortunately for Miley, both Jordan and Jojo had other obligations to fulfill which is why they weren't able to do the tv series. Talk about luck.jelir
Unfortunately for Miley, fame comes with a price and in her case it came in the form of controversies. I am sure you have seen her Vanity Fair photos, which were deemed by some people as inappropriate and malicious, but I think it's artistic. There was also that time when she and best friend Mandy made fun of Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, yes, they did act mean, but come on, let's not be hypocrites, who hasn't been mean?around There was also that time when she was accused of pole dancing at the Kid's Choice Awards 2009 during her performance, but she clearly wasn't, people make a big deal out of everything.around And how about the time when she dated an older guy, I say what's wrong with that?soal I am married to a much older man, but look at me, I turned out great. I think that despite all these controversies that came with her being famous, she handles it all well, just like a real lady should. She apologized when necessary and she stayed real to herself and to her fans.

Miley Cyrus has indeed come along way, and although some people think that she isn't exactly a good role model, I say, give her a break, despite her being famous and all, she's still only just a normal girl who happens to be famous. She still feels like a normal girl should and she only reacts like any normal teenage girl would, even better than others.

She still has a lot of success coming her way and I am sure of it. Miley Cyrus will be seen in the upcoming movies like The Last Song(2010), Sex and the City 2(2010) and Wings(2011). I personally can't wait to see her in the following movies, because I know she'll do a great job.senyum
