Self Medication is a No-No

Cures for Ailments, is what I have been googling in the past week. As most of you know, I've just recovered from an illness, which I am not sure where I got in the first place. I am a pretty healthy person and in a year, I only get sick about 2-4 times, but when I do get sick, I totally put everything on hold because it's that serious and because I can't do anything else except sleep. I barely eat when I am sick, actually, I barely do anything at all when I am sick. But, ever since I started blogging, I couldn't stay offline for more than 24 hours, I just can't. So even though my body says "go back to bed" my mind forces me to go online and check my e-mail for important messages from potential clients, blog hop a bit and say hi to my online friends. It makes me feel a lot better afterward. When I was a kid, I never really got sick also, despite the fact that I am the skinny one in our family, the sickly looking skinny girl, that's how they saw me. Haha. I had pale white skin and I was skinny, I looked unhealthy but in reality, I am the healthy one. I rarely got sick, I wouldn't even have the chicken pox if my grandma didn't expose me to it intentionally because she was afraid that if I got it when I was older it could be fatal, you know how old people are. You know what, I know I shouldn't do it, but I self medicate. I do. I don't go to the doctor when I get sick, instead I turn to google. What? It's more economical that way, I don't need to pay google for mere diagnosis that isn't even 60% accurate. I don't like going to the doctor, because half the time they give you the wrong diagnosis, like my friend's husband, he was diagnosed with HIV, my friend freaked out, because she knew if her husband had it she had too, turns out the doctors were wrong and her husband didn't have HIV, he had a blood disease, not quite leukemia, but close to it, I forgot the term, anyway, he had to undergo blood transfusion to get him better, which he did. I told my friend to sue that freaking doctor who gave the wrong diagnosis, I mean come on right? He made her doubt her husband and question his faithfulness, and you know that doctor is considered the best in his field here in our city, what a shame. So you see, I much prefer google to give me a diagnosis. It's free and he hasn't let me down yet. I'm not telling you to stop going to the doctor or anything, I'm just saying this is how I do it. However, when it comes to my children, I don't trust anyone else but their doctor, she's really good at what she does and she hasn't let us down yet. It's one thing for me to self medicate on myself, but I never do that to B or the kids. I take them to the doctor, definitely.

Anyway, consulting a doctor is the safest way to treat symptoms and cure ailments, so don't be like me okay?sengihnampakgigi

I have to agree DR.'S though. I thought they were trying to kill me when my back went out. I too was diagnosed with having extremely high cholesterol and put on Lipitor which made me very sick. So I stoppd taking it and went to another DR. Not only was my cholesterol not high...I actually had a healthy count. My bad cholesterol was at 190 and my good cholesterol was super high!! So they do make mistakes and some times really scare people!! >:o >:o

I know, but I think that in their profession, there's no room for errors,
because even the slightest mistake can cost a life... and it wouldn't hurt
if they became less insensitive... Thanks for dropping by Jackie! :)
