Lights On, Lights Off

"Lights on, Lights off"... I have always wanted to say that. I haven't had a chance yet, but isn't it cool to have one of those lamps that are voice activated or clap activated, I think they are called clappers. It would be interesting to have one of those, for sure. Anyway, I am on a hunt for a few lamps, I still have a fever, and last night, I couldn't sleep, so I had this sudden urge to play The Sims Urbz on my Playstation 2, but I couldn't, because I was afraid to go to the living room because it was dark. The lamps in our living room, which is usually, supposed to be on at that time, were turned off, because ever since my mother in law came home from the states, she's been turning all the lights off before she goes to bed, which gives a literal meaning to that phrase, "lights out". Literally, since she came home, lights out means lights out. ALL the lights are turned off before she goes to bed, and it doesn't matter if you turn them on after she goes to her room, it's like she has a radar and she turns them off once she feels it's turned on. Weird really. So anyway, I couldn't go out to play my game, and that made me upset. I knew I shouldn't have watched that stupid horror movie Shutter or The Grudge 3, which isn't that scary, until it gets dark. I think for me it's scarier because I am Asian, and I think that with our culture, things like that can happen. So there I was, in the dark, scolding myself for not getting at least a low voltage halogen lamp, which at least doesn't consume as much energy so maybe my mother in law wouldn't keep turning it off, since it's energy efficient and all that. For about 2 hours at least I just lay there, in the dark, beside B and Lucas who were sound asleep, thinking about lamps and light bulbs and horror movies, that freaked me out so badly I couldn't get up and play my freaking game, I remembered an ad I've seen on my blogger buddy, Shemah's blog, which was so funny and so totally true I just had to share it with all of you. Here check it out.

Ane the thing i hate about these "Asian" horror movies are that it's not the fact that it's scary.. but the fact that my imagination runs really wild when i'm alone.. LOL! yeah.. i blame it on our culture!! hahahahah
